You are just a robot walking around a nice grass field with a big gun and out of nowhere hundreds of excited insects start attacking you. If you want to survive you have to keep fighting them off, after you kill the excited insects they will leave you various powerups to improve your weapons and armor, and you will need them, since the word got around about you killing them off so they are trying to destroy you.
